Course Overview

The Persuasive Communication course aims to equip students with precision and persuasion in communication for career and life success. This foundation course, led by IIM Bangalore alumnus Rakesh Godhwani, uses videos and his textbook "What to Say, When to Shut Up" to help students overcome speaking inhibitions, understand and influence audiences, and structure spoken messages using the AEIOUXE framework. The course is divided into four modules covering the introduction to persuasive communication and confidence-building, audience analysis and message structuring, the AEIOUXE framework, and creating effective presentation slides. Upon completion, students will be able to create and evaluate presentations, analyze audience needs, and understand key concepts of persuasive communication.
